I think there are two kinds of wishing. The bad wish is selfish. It’s lustful and worrisome. I think if we are always wishing to make things better that we really can make better with a little effort, we shouldn’t have to wish about it very long. But instead we get caught up in the dream of making it happen and never really take the steps to make it happen.
The good wish is on a checkable list. If you are truly working toward checking those things off of your list and not just talking about them I think it is healthy.
I read or heard somewhere that if we sit and wonder or worry if things are ever going to change then they probably won’t. But if we are actively making changes in our life to better ourselves then they will.
