Praise  Worship  Follow  Fellowship  Resistance  Submission

Your love releases

The bonds of sin

If only the bonds

Of submission would end

Come follow me

Your word instructs

The resistance

In my flesh constricts

Fellowship leadership ownership

All lead to glorious worship!

You are my God, my Father

My creator, my everthing

Dear Heavenly Father

To you I sing!

Majestic creature

Heaven created

Purched high above

Nothing but air

Quiet strength

Holds him high

Seemingly undetected

By a blind eye

Only eyes open

To God’s beauty

Would his presence be known

For even now it is only they
who fill an empty heart.
Glad creeps to a surface once dark.
Chosen by Him of all that is Holy
they bring peace to a heart unruly.
Our King of all kings has appointed
they who carry His message
near and far.
Listen within, are you a they?

A Poem

A good exchange
of love and laughter
Saves a room
from sadness and disaster
A family gathers
resentments loom
Save us oh Lord
from satan’s doom
His presence made known
by the story we’re told
The tradition demands
all attention to hold
The guards let down
there’s no more frown
It’s Christmas you know
and it’s beginning to snow

Whip-Poor-Will

The sound of the whip-poor-will takes me right back to my childhood in rural malung township.  I used to beam at the sound of the very unique bird.  When we moved back here seven years ago that was one of the things I looked forward to.  Unfortunately I was never blessed with that opportunity.  Until tonight.  Seven long years and finally the sound echoed through my open bathroom window.  I am still smiling that is how thrilled I am!

Babies, babies, babies

Well I can sure tell it is spring time by one account anyway (certainly not by the weather).  There are women having babies like crazy around here!

I would love to have a set of twins yet in my life.  If I did I would want them to be a boy and a girl.  I would name them Lizzie and Harry.  Lizzie after my Grandma and Harry after Mitch’s dad Harold.

I fell in love with the names and used them on a couple in one of my stories.  Is that weird?  I suppose it’s only weird if I do have twins:)  From my lips to God’s ears!

I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Today

I can’t even believe my lack of ambition today!  I have the day off from my real life job, so I thought I would give a go at my fantasy life job of writing.  Well as usual my morning burst of creativity washed out my afternoon burst!  I can’t even seem to stay focused on one topic.

Now I find out they are taking submissions for the Regional Ramblings news letter and the deadline is May 20th.  I have always wanted to put something in there, but have never known how to go about it.  Well today at the library there was a little flyer all bright green and reaching straight out at me.  Then I go to lunch with my mom and in the news and views what did I find?  A little add with the same advertisement.  I think it means I need to get my butt in gear and finish this story that I have been working on!

Here’s another little taste:

The next morning came to quickly for Lizzie.  Exhaustion filled her head with with fog.  Inspite of that she smiled to herself remembering her night of fun.  She rose slowly and began to get ready for her day with Harry.

Suddenly butterflies began to dance around her insides.

She waved her hand and huffed away the silly little girl emotion as she walked to her dresser.

She was a child the last time she had butterflies.  She got excited about things like leaving the island to go to town way back then.

Now there was a handsome man causing them to awaken.

She decided on the blue and white stripped sweater over her white tank top and tennis skirt.
She opted on her bathing suit underneath, because the weather man said it was going to be very warm in the afternoon.

“Oh I better grab some sunscreen too”, she said to herself as she checked off another item on her mental list.

As she stood in front of the mirror she smiled at the image starring back at her.

Her face was glowing.  Not since she found out her first children’s book submission had been picked for an award had she been this happy.

That award led to her agent who eventually led her to a full fledged writing career.

Could it be that Janelle’s wonderful party last night could have been the first stepping stone to her finding love?

“Oh”, she huffed again and waved her hand at the mirror.  “Why am I being so silly?  It’s been one night for crying out loud!  I hardly know any thing about the man.”

She fiddled with her ash blond pony tail one more time before grabbing the picnic basket and her bag to leave.

Revelations!

My love for food slowed me down to a slow crawl in life.

My love for God has revved me back up!

I am walking for Jesus now and although it is not an easy route I know it’s the right route!

I pray for everyone that I know to come to know Jesus like I am getting to know him!

New poem

This haystacked needle
the impossible dream
to find the true love beatle
with cordial esteem.

The search brings little fruit
in fact many get the boot
the hunt grows weary
the demenor becomes dreary.

A cry out to Jesus for help
brings revelation about
what are we praying for
all that we ask is ours before.

Trust and it shall be
wants and desires switch to what He
wants them to be.

I am still here

I have not been on here for awhile and I apologize for that!  My friend at work, Nancy, is jet setting all over Europe for two weeks and I am filling in for her job.  Wow!  It’s way more work than just my job and I am doing both.  It’s been interesting and challenging.  My brain is very tired at the end of the day.  Not to mention when I get up in the morning I am dragging my behind around the house.

The morning is when things get done at my house.  I am a working fool early in the AM.  However if I can’t drag myself out of bed early enough then I don’t get as much done.  Of course coffee helps!

I am back on the strong go juice in the morning.  I still drink 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular at work, but in the AM I need my pep!

I will post another excerpt from the story I am working later, but for now I hope a sunny day is in store for each and everyone today!  If the weather’s cloudy – make it sunny in your heart:)

“All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Matthew 10:22
